Choosing the right container size

Last updated: April 2026

We only offer two container sizes, so the choice comes down to how much you are storing and whether you need extra room to load and move around.

How much fits in the 8' x 16' x 8' container?

It is the better fit for smaller moves, apartment loads, seasonal items, or a few rooms of packed boxes.

If your load is mostly boxes and a few furniture pieces, this smaller option usually gives you enough room without paying for space you do not need.

When should you choose the 8' x 20' x 8' container?

Choose the larger container when you are clearing a whole home, handling a remodel, or storing bulky furniture and appliances.

The extra length gives you more breathing room, which matters when you want easier loading or have several large items to fit in one container.

How do you decide between the two sizes?

Start with how much you are storing, then think about whether you need extra room to load and move around.

If you want a quick rule of thumb, choose the 16-foot unit for lighter loads and the 20-foot unit when you want more flexibility or expect bulky items.

When in doubt, call (870) 236-9391. A quick conversation about what you are storing is usually enough to narrow it down.
